Weight Coach is operated by GameChangeAI LLC, a California limited liability company. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Plain language, no tricks.
Some of what you log in Weight Coach, like your weight, meals and wellness goals, is health-related information. We treat it that way. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except to run the app for you or when the law requires it.
In this version of the app, your profile, meal photos, logs, weigh-ins and coach conversations are stored only on your own device, in your browser. We do not keep a copy on our servers. Photos and messages are sent to our AI provider only when you ask for an estimate or a coach reply, as described below. If you clear your browser data, that information is gone unless you exported it.
What we do keep on our side: your email address and subscription status, held by Stripe; your Stripe customer number; and a daily count of how many AI requests were made, stored on Netlify under your membership number or, for visitors, a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your internet address. We use these counts only to enforce daily limits and the free photo.
We do not sell your information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, rent it, or hand it to data brokers.
When you tap Estimate or send the coach a message, the photo, description or message, along with the profile details and today's log needed to answer, is sent to our AI provider to create a response. Requests go through Netlify's AI Gateway to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI models. They process it on our behalf to produce your answer.
We use a small number of service providers. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if the law requires it. If that happens we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.
We keep your account and logs while your account is open. When you delete your account, we immediately delete your profile, photos, logs and coach conversations from our live systems. Copies in our providers' routine backups are removed as those backups expire on their normal schedule. We keep only the billing and tax records the law requires.
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you rights to know, delete and correct personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. If you live in Washington, Nevada, Connecticut or another state with a consumer health data law, you may have additional rights over your health data. Exercising any of these rights will never cost you anything or get you worse service. Email sam@gamechangeai.com.
Weight Coach is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
The app runs over an encrypted connection, and access to your data is limited to people who need it to run the service. No system is perfect, and we will not claim ours is. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
